GTM Part 4
Intro
Now that we have even the oft-forgotten spiritual life back on the table, let’s take a step back and breathe in the entire panorama – the whole man.
In this panorama, we look at some basic targets for each of the areas of the body, the mind and the soul. We also look at a few practical suggestions on how you can advance towards those basic targets.
Short Exercise 4:
- Study the Guiding Principles & Practical Suggestions page below. (We’ll go through it in detail later. Meanwhile…)
- Compare the guiding principles suggested for each area to your own targets that you may already have for each of those same areas. Does anything strike you? Do your targets need to overhauled or tweaked a bit?
- Do you find the practical suggestions pragmatic? Which of them can you begin to implement right now? Highlight/underline/circle/note them somehow. Preferably just one from each area.
Commentary:
Getting a bird’s eye-view of your life or of any project is essential. It serves the same purpose as a general in an army. It allows you to appreciate better many things including:
- What areas of your life need more of your limited attention and what kind of attention they need;
- What areas require more time for the target to be achieved and where that time will come from;
- Developing patterns (whether of victory or of defeat) and how these patterns can be profitably used in future.
